NMS-1000

The NMS-1000 Magnet Power Supply is physically similar to the line of analog power monitoring instrumentation developed for research reactors. It contains a (+) 15 VDC, (-) 15 VDC and a 35 VDC output magnet voltage compliance power supply. Each of the three identical magnet power supplies mounted symmetrically on a printed circuit board is capable of regulating 150 mA of current to a magnet of 200 ohms, and is monitored in a closed loop system which adjusts the output to compensate for any variation in magnet resistance. The current being provided to each magnet is displayed on a front panel meter, and can be adjusted via a recessed adjustment pot mounted on the front panel. This meter can also be used to display magnet voltage via a momentary front panel switch. Front panel indications also provide a low magnet current or overcurrent condition, with the latter automatically shutting down the magnet supply.
