NEW TMS-WebStation for Shippers and Marketers

Shippers and Marketers can now manage their business at 3rd party terminals around the world through a single Web site -- Sorrento’s Grand Central Server. Instead of sending hundreds of faxes and calling individual terminals, Shippers and Marketers get direct control of their loading activities from their desktop PCs. Web-Station Customer File ScreenshotUsers are able to add customers, change credit and allocations limits, enter and track orders, and get bills of lading, reports and transaction files whenever they want.

TMS-WebStation goes far beyond the limits of DtniLoad and Toptech’s TDS by giving Shippers and Marketers hands-on global control of their terminal activities from a single Web site.

Pricing is simple and low – unlimited usage for a flat monthly fee. There are no transaction fees or connection fees or other mysterious charges.

TMS-WebStation Controls Risks and Costs
Sorrento’s Grand Central Server system in San Diego exchanges information with terminal automation systems around the world. Shippers and Marketers log onto the Grand Central Web site over the Internet to manage their activities.

Example: A Marketer has 2000 customers on the Pacific coast that receives deliveries from 20 distribution terminals, which may be owned by Kinder Morgan, Chevron, ST Services, etc. Throughout each day, the Marketer needs to know what each customer received, adjust their credit limits and add orders and new customers to each of the 20 terminal management systems. To accomplish this today, the Marketer may have two or three people calling and exchanging faxes with each of the 20 terminals, and hopes someone at the terminals has time to fax BOL copies and enter the new credit limits before one of his customers makes a run on him. It’s expensive, unreliable and extremely risky.

Effectiveness of Using TMS-WebStation:

  • Marketer logs onto the Grand Central Web site to manage all 2000 customers and activities at the 20 terminals. An Internet browser is all that’s needed. No additional software or hardware.
  • A single entry lets the Marketer add a customer or an order to the automation systems at all terminals or to a selected few. (This alone eliminates 20 faxed copies and the new customer or new order is entered instantly instead of waiting for someone at the terminal to do it.)Web-Station Order Screenshot
  • For maximum benefits, Marketer would exchange files between its corporate systems and Grand Central, which then updates the systems at the terminals.
  • Updating a customer’s credit limit takes seconds and can be enforced at the terminals in near real-time.
  • Bills of lading are automatically e-mailed to the Marketer as soon as the trucks are loaded.
  • Reports are created at any time and can be cumulative across multiple terminals or for a single terminal (customer and product summaries, inventory reconciliation, credit/allocations, orders).
  • Marketer receives transaction files via FTP, e-mail or manual file transfer in a format to fit the back office system, i.e. XML, Petroex, SAP, JD Edwards, DTN, Toptech TDS.
  • Users can add an unlimited number of customers without help from terminal personnel (a key feature because many terminals aren’t willing to enter hundreds of customers for a single marketer).
  • Multi-level security includes Users’ firewalls, Windows operating system, database, and Grand Central Server.
  • Flat monthly fee - no transaction fees, no connection charges, no mysterious costs.
  • Marketer would save enough money to pay a big cash bonus to the employee who suggests TMS-WebStation.

Company-wide Access
There is no limit to the number of users within a company. Sorrento pre-configures 10 User IDs with five user levels that range from a top level with full access to the lowest level with read-only access.

$ Big Savings With TMS-WebStation $

  • Data entry tasks are reduced substantially in offices and at terminals.
  • Hundreds of faxes and phone calls to and from terminals are eliminated every month.
  • Credit risks are tightly controlled. Losing just one truckload to a customer who goes belly-up costs $6000 or more. WebStation’s flexible credit control and timely transaction data pays for itself for years by helping to prevent credit overdraws.
  • Fees to DTN Petroex and other data services are eliminated because WebStation includes transmittal of transaction files.

It’s Easy to Use
Just point, click and fill in the blanks. The screens are intuitive, especially for users familiar with terminal systems. The Users Guide provides clear instructions and additional training is available to show Users how to take full advantage of powerful features, such as the allocation/credit controls and the multiple levels of customer management.
