General Atomics Electronic Systems, Inc. Quality Program Passes NUPIC Audit

In February 2006, the NUPIC audit team of five persons completed its Joint Utility Audit of GA-ESI’s Quality Program, which was highly successful. The purpose of the audit was to perform a triennial re-qualification through a performance based supplier audit, and assess the adequacy and effective implementation of GA-ESI’s Program for meeting 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21, in providing RMS equipment, repair, testing, calibration spares, firmware, Engineering and field services. The audit team commended the company for having a very strong quality culture and a proactive staff. The team noted that this strength was also evident in the previous audit in 2003. The 2006 audit concluded that GA-ESI was re-qualified for the Approved Supplier List of the audit lead utility, Arizona Public Service, and that the audit frequency be retained at 3 years.
