Slurry Oil Analysis (PDF)
GULFTRONIC® SERVICES include testing and analysis of FCC/RFCC Slurry Oil samples from your plant to determine and identify levels of catalyst and/or other particle contents. Testing is performed by electrostatic separation of the slurry oil sample under laboratory conditions, using identical technology as field installed Gulftronic® Separators. Data provided from these tests is used as follows:
- Determination of level of catalyst particles content prior to design of any separator system
- On-going analysis of FCC/RFCC slurry oil and separated oil outputs
Data is provided on the particle content in parts per million (PPM) from a twenty (20) liter sample before and after electrostatic separation. An option is included for additional Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) analysis to identify the exact individual element content of the separated particle content. Slurry oil sample carbon content in PPM is also available from a burn back test.
