RD-15 Detector

The Model RD-15 detector assembly is for use in area monitors. The detector is typically placed at key locations throughout a facility to monitor radiation levels and to provide signals to the RM-80, RM-1000, and RM-2000 digital microprocessors. The detector assembly consists of two detector elements and electronic circuitry. The range of each detector element has been selected to provide range overlap to insure continuity of measurement. They are contained in an aluminum weatherproof housing with connectors. Standard clamps and wall brackets are supplied with the detector, as is a hanger bracket for the area monitor calibration. The detector assembly features auto ranging to select the appropriate detector for the dose rate. The detector can be connected directly to a host computer system or to any of the three digital microprocessors.
